Welcome to the MAINE LOBSTER FESTIVAL Version 2 - for FS2004

NOTE: I have not tested this new version in FS2002 but I think it should work
with the exception that you may find some items situated outside the main
scenery to be off elevation to the ground.

SPECIAL NOTE BEFORE YOU READ ON:

It takes hours to make these sceneries and the
items to make them (macros). Please take a bit of your own time to read all these lines.

==============================================

This scenery was first made for FS2002. It was well liked so I decided to make a new version for FS2004 and now I have decided to add much to it.

I have also added sounds for those who use the Lago program.

I made this scenery as a token of gratitude to my friend Tom Constantine who has had the patience to teach me how to use the program needed to make sceneries and also had the patience to put up with me all this time.

==============================================

HOW TO GET THERE:

This is a scenery I designed with a bit of adventure added to it. It will not list in the 'go to menu'. You have to find it.

It had docking facilities and I have added a lighted grass strip behind the new inn.

To get to the scenery, you take off from runway 22 at KBHB (Bar Harbor), go across the bridge you will see at the end of the runway. From there, follow the Billboards of the Maine Lobster Festival scenery. You will have candies to discover as you move on. You can fly 'illegally' low and slow, but specially for the first time, driving there is fun. This way, you can stop for a nice fattening greasy hamburger at Jerry's Snack Bar.

If you do not own a car yet, might I suggest you go to the Golden Eagle Squadron, at: http://windrfters.com/

==============================================

I wish to thank Tom Hiscox and Brian Williams for the program Airport for Windows that I used to create the scenery.

I also would like to thank Matthias Bruckner for his program EOD where I made my macros (objects).

All the macros used in this scenery are mine except for the ones listed below.

I thank the following for the use of their macros:

-Tom Pica = the dock, the grey trash can, the row boat;
-Jim Jackson of Nothern Exposure = picnic tables and the canoe, and also the textures I used to make the commercial billboards;
-John de Langristin = the Volks Beetle and the old grey car.
-Nova textures - smoke.

I also must not forget to thank my dear friend Tom Constantine for his coaching. Yes, it is him waiting on the deck at Tom's Lobster House.

I wish to thank Bill Derenburger for beta testing this scenery

I hope I did not forget anyone or made a mistake.

=========================================

This scenery is freeware. It is the poperty of the creator and those who made items for it. It cannot be used in all or in part for any commercial transaction, nor can it be offered on a site where a fee or membership is asked for the downloads.

I do not make money with it nor should anyone else.

===========================================

Installation:

For the SOUNDS installation please follow the instructions in the Lago folder.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE FS2002 VERSION IN FS2004, PLEASE
UNINSTALL IT FIRST.

This scenery is self supporting, it is not part of any other scenery. It must be installed like you normally install any other scenery and activated in the scenery library.

Insert the file "Maine Lobster Fest" into where you normally keep your additional sceneries

Insert the CONTENTS ONLY of the Effects folder into your
xxxxxxxx/Flight Simulator 9/Effects folder

Activate in the scenery library.

That is it.

================================================

Should you have any problem with my scenery, please FIRST READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AGAIN and then, if need be,go to my web site to see if I did not post and answer or excuse to the problem.
